Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Position at the
Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry, Division of Physical
Chemistry, at Uppsala University in Sweden. 

The theme of our research is modeling of charged colloidal systems and the
main tools are different kinds of computer simulations. Topics of our
research include polyelectrolytes and polyampholytes, DNA condensation,
stretching of polymers, colloidal stability  specifically the effect of
discrete surface charges, and development of simulation methods. Further

In Uppsala we have access to a wide range of high performance computers and
there is an active community of scientists doing computational
chemistry/physics. Except from pursuing his/her research we will provide
opportunities for the postdoctoral researcher to take part in international
collaborations and supervision of PhD students. 

Applicants should have a solid background in statistical mechanics and
computational chemistry/physics, be highly motivated, and have excellent
written and verbal English skills.
