We Currently Have The Following Opportunity: Computational Chemist (R5-R7) The successful candidate will be expected to build and implement computational strategies to influence the design strategy of drug discovery projects to improve potency, selectivity, physical properties, and ADME profiles. Candidates with experience in ligand based design, structure based drug design, statistical modeling and/or chemoinformatics are preferred. In this role, you will use structure-based design to guide decision-making; triage HTS data in order to identify the most promising lead matter; conduct virtual screens both to identify and optimize chemical matter; use chemoinformatics to help highlight and drive the most critical issues that face project teams; routinely present your work as a critical component of helping to guide the Discovery process; and develop partnerships with others in order to drive successful drug discovery outcomes. Candidates must have a Ph.D. with a strong record of experience in computational chemistry or a related discipline, with several years post-PhD experience preferred. Also required is experience with a variety of commercial computational chemistry software and LINUX/UNIX systems.
