Subject: 08.06.19 Computational Chemistry Software Engineer, Cambridge, Massuchusetts (US)
MolySym is a federally funded MIT start-up developing the next
generation of molecular input devices for research and educational
uses.  MolySym is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the heart of
the Boston-area biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, and
centrally located between MIT and Harvard. We are seeking a highly
motivated and creative individual in the field of computational
chemistry with expertise in programming molecular simulations and
force field implementation. The position will be as lead scientific
software developer and will require creativity and independent
research to develop novel algorithms that provide real-time force
feedback between a software simulation and a hand-held molecular input
device.

Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of computational chemistry methods (advanced
  degree in computational chemistry or equivalent).

- Knowledge of force field development and implementation.

- Strong background in computer science (data structures, algorithms,
  and programming)

- Strong understanding of the physics of molecular interactions
  (mechanics, electrostatics, etc.).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a distributed work
  environment

Strongly Preferred:
- Experience with C++, Visual C++, and DirectX.

- Commercial software development experience

- Interest in scientific GUI development and usability issues
