POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS IN CHEMOINFORMATICS AT MAYO CLINIC ROCHESTER

Two postdoctoral positions are available at Mayo Clinic Rochester. 
The successful candidate(s) will join the Bioinformatics Core to complement
the current expertise of the team with Computational Chemistry. The core
plans to expand its research activity in the area of analysis of
metabolomics data and development of computer model(s) for the prediction
of chemical reactivity. This last project is done in collaboration with
the IBM Blue Gene team. 

The successful candidate(s) will have a strong background in chemistry
and will be experienced in a variety of computational methods including
molecular modeling, molecular description, 2D/3D-QSAR, and multivariate
statistics. Knowledge of Virtual Screening techniques, docking, QM/MM
calculations or Classical Molecular Dynamics simulations is a plus. 
The candidate(s) should be capable of working independently and  should
be comfortable operating in a multi-disciplinary team. 

A Ph.D. in physical chemistry, chemistry, pharmacy or a related field is
required. Good programming, knowledge of scripting languages, to written
and oral communication skills are required.
