The applicant must be knowledgeable and experienced in a variety of
current chemistry and structural biology resources. Specifically,
the successful candidate will be adept in a diversity of computational
chemistry pursuits, such as molecular modelling (e.g. protein-ligand
interactions) structure-based drug design and/or in silico screening.
You will furthermore be responsible for managing the integration of
chemical content and biological structure information with our
existing bioinformatics infrastructure. Experience with bioinformatics
tools a clear benefit.

Responsibilities:

The suitable candidate will be responsible for ->

* leading and innovating our efforts in the chemical biology domain

* the application and customization of computational chemistry
approaches to a variety of clinically/biologically focused discovery
pursuits.

* developing strategies and processing workflows for chemistry

* integrating chemical and structural content from reference
databases into a modular life science informatics platform;

Demands

The successful candidate must be a team player with the following attributes:

* min. 4-yrs cheminformatics/structural biology/chemical biology experience;

* Experience with a wide array of data formats employed to depict chemistry
information (MOL/SDF/RDF, PubChem XML, CML, PDB, MIF, InChI/SMILES);

* Experience in one or more of molecular modeling, structure-based drug
design and/or in silico screening - FLEXX

* Experience with toolkits commonly employed to capture, index and/or
manipulate chemistry data (MDL/Isentris, JChem/MarvinBeans, OpenBabel, MOE);

* Experience developing and optimizing database driven applications;

* Experience with chemical/protein structure visualization tools
(MDL/Chime, Cn3D, MarvinView, KegDraw)

* Experience with chemical structure databases (CAS, PubChem,
Crossfire Beilstein);
