Subject: 09.10.17 Sacramento/Davis CA Java programmer
The Fiehn laboratory invites applications for the position of a Java Software Developer 
at the Junior or Senior level for developing a platform-independent database 
for metabolome data within the U.S. Pharmacometabolomics consortium. 
The intent for this new repository is to form a nucleus for a generic National Repository 
that could also store, query and disseminate data from other study backgrounds.

The successful candidate will have the following sets of skills:

Programming skills: 
* fluent in java 5 and SQL including framework and administrative tasks
* be able to work in a TDD environment and to use hibernate 3, java annotations,
   spring with advanced skills in maven2, junit, jboss4+
* knowledge about GRAILS framework for development of web applications
* knowledge in use and administration of mysql and postgresql

Candidates are expected to be able to communicate in English and have excellent skills 
to work in teams and in collaborative environments and consortia.
Additional knowledge in chemistry, medicine, biochemistry or related areas are a plus 
but are not essential.
