Postdoctoral Researcher for Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Catalyst

Education: The successful applicant will have a PhD in chemical
engineering, chemistry, or a related science or engineering area.

Experience: The appropriate candidate should have experience with the
application of classical molecular dynamics of molecular systems and
analysis of such simulations.  Experience with polymer simulations,
molecular mechanics force fields, and related modeling techniques such as
Monte Carlo and stochastic simulation is preferred. 

Duties: Prospective post-doctoral researchers will join a
multidisciplinary research team working with Pete Ludovice of the School
of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of
Technology in Atlanta, GA. This research involves the simulation of small
molecules and polymers to be used as catalyst supports funded by the U.S.
Dept. of Energy.  The appropriate candidate will carry out independent
computational research to predict the conformation and bulk structure of
catalyst substrate materials as well as analyze the dynamic behavior and
accessibility of the tethered metal-organic catalyst sites on these
substrates. Experience with the MOE packaged from chemical computing group
is preferred but not required.  The position provides a competitive salary
