Please have a look at the web site: http://www.chem.umn.edu/groups/gagliardi We are looking for a motivated scientist with a PhD in Theoretical or Computational Chemistry. A suitable candidate should have experience in both writing quantum chemistry programs and employing them. Knowledge of DFT and wave function based methods is indispensable. The research will involve the development of quantum chemical methods aimed at studying highly correlated systems, including multimetallic systems. A substantial part of the project will consist of studying species containing transition metals and actinides, both in the gas phase and in condensed phase.
