Join Accelrys, a leading provider of scientific business intelligence 
software, and support our data pipelining software, Pipeline Pilot, as well 
as our other products particularly in the Bioinformatics area. 

Working closely with the sales team, you will deliver scientific and 
technical presentations to promote our products to existing and new 
customers, whilst liaising with the development staff to track/resolve 
technical issues and attending conferences to raise awareness of our 
products. This customer facing role calls for outstanding interpersonal 
skills and the willingness to travel internationally for at least 50% of 
the time.   

With a PhD in Biology, Computational Biology/Chemistry or Bioinformatics, 
you will have experience in the use of software in the field of Biological 
Sciences gained either in industry or academia. You will be familiar with 
Pipeline Pilot, competent in the use of database, workflow and/or data 
pipeline technologies and have in-depth knowledge of one or more of the 
following areas: biotherapeutics; sequence analysis; biomarkers; genomics; 
protein engineering; systems biology; or translational research. Technical 
knowledge in one of the following: Java, Perl, UML/XML, Unix/Windows/Linux
Platform would be a plus.

In addition to your technical expertise you will need the communication 
skills to engage customers coupled with proven project management skills, 
technical consulting experience and a track record of delivering 
technical training. Fluency in English is essential, both written and 
verbal, and fluency in French and/or German would be advantageous. The 
role can be based in our Cambridge or Paris office or a home office 
location in the UK, France or Germany within easy reach of an airport.
