Subject: 10.07.01 PhD Structural Bioinformatics, Bergen, Norway
The PhD project will aim at studying proteins intrinsic flexibility 
using structural bioinformatics tools (including normal modes analysis)
and investigate the conservation of dynamics through evolution. Applicants
should have a strong background in computational biology/bioinformatics, 
with a demonstrated experience in structural biology. Candidates with a 
Masters degree in bioinformatics, computational biology/computational 
biophysics or structural biology are especially encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and good programming skills are 
an absolute requirement.

Applicants must have achieved their Masters degree or equivalent, or have
submitted their master thesis for assessment by the application deadline. 
It is a prerequisite, however, that the formal admission requirements for 
the PhD programme are met before appointment can be made. In total, the 
fellowship period is 4 years, 25% of the period will be dedicated to teaching
and/or administrative duties.
 
Starting date: around Oct. 1st 2010.
