From: jobs at ccl.net (do not send your application there!!!) To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Mon Jul 5 14:47:49 2010 Subject: 10.07.05 Postdoc, Computational Protein Biophysics, Univ. of Pittsburgh A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the group of Professor Rob Coalson, Dept. of Chemistry, University of Pittsburgh. The areas of interest include: 1) Development and application of algorithms for computing long-time conformational dynamics of proteins. Basic tools involve classical and stochastic (Brownian) dynamics, as well as equilibrium classical statistical mechanics. 2) Development and application of algorithms for computing the flux of ions through realistic models of biological ion channel proteins using Brownian dynamics and MD simulations. Experience with Molecular Dynamics simulations and basic knowledge of protein science are desirable. The position is for one year, with extension to a second year possible by mutual consent. Please send application and arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be sent to: Professor Rob D.
