What you can expect
In our research group Computational Chemistry & Biology you will develop new
(eco)toxicological and environmental fate (E-Fate) prediction models for chemicals,
pesticides and drugs.
-In this context, you will use data from public sources and internal proprietary
reports for developing novel integrated prediction approaches, including machine
learning algorithms, QSAR, and other statistical methods.
-You will act as an active interface to our department Experimental Toxicology and
Ecology.
-You will work in a diverse team of computational chemists and systems biologists.

What we expect
- You have successfully finished your PhD in computational chemistry,
chemoinformatics, chemistry or a related field.
- Ideally, you have already gained experience in toxicology or ecotoxicology and in
the modelling of toxicity endpoints.
- You demonstrated expertise in the area of model development, machine learning,
and pipelining by using your strong knowledge of the suitable software (e.g. KNIME
or R).
- Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English will pave the way
for an effective way of working in an interdisciplinary environment.
- German language skills will be considered as a plus.
