What you can expect
As part of the group Computational Chemistry and Bioinformatics, you will
be responsible for applying computational methods to drug design within an
interdisciplinary team of synthetic chemists, biochemists and biologists.
- You will optimize active ingredients for life sciences applications via
  ligand-based and structure-based computational approaches.

- Therefore, you will build two- and three-dimensional quantitative
  structure-activity relationship (2/3D-QSAR) models based on pharmacophore
  alignments and analyze the outcoming data.

- Furthermore, you will develop structural models of relevant proteins
  based on homology modeling and docking.

What we expect
- You hold a PhD in computational chemistry or in a related field, such as
  chemistry, pharmacy or biology and have good knowledge in organic chemistry
  and biochemistry.

- You have acquired profound knowledge and experience in molecular modeling
  techniques relevant to life sciences applications and you are an expert in
  using commercial modeling software, such as MOE or Schrdinger.

- Furthermore, you have already gained experience in scripting or
  programming, using Linux/UNIX and KNIME.

- Your profile is competed by your excellent communication skills as well
  as your creative and motivated working style which define you an effective
  team player.
