Subject: 17.12.22 Postdoctoral position in computational materials science
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the group of
theoretical physical chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (Lincoln, USA).
The candidate should hold a PhD degree in chemistry, physics,
materials science or a related discipline.

The research requires application of first-principles based simulations
to understand atomistic mechanisms and kinetics at the solid/liquid
interfaces as applied to catalysis and energy conversion.
Previous experience with density-functional-theory methods and
enhanced free-energy sampling techniques is required.

The position requires most of the following:
Strong background in electronic structure methods, quantum chemistry,
ab initio molecular dynamics and free energy calculations
	Demonstrated record of research productivity
	Experience with high-performance computing
Experience in using major quantum-chemical/solid-state simulation packages (VASP, NWChem, Quantum ESPRESSO, CASTEP, etc.)
Experience in programming/scripting in Linux/Unix environment is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
