Corteva Agriscience(TM) , Agriculture Division of DowDuPont(TM) is seeking a Computational Chemist to be located at the Haskell Global Center for Health Sciences site in Newark, DE. The successful candidate will bring significant, broad experience in the application and development of computational-based predictive toxicology methods. This position represents an opportunity to become part of an exciting team of scientists supporting a broad portfolio of research and development activities. The Computational Toxicologist will work closely with an outstanding group of toxicologists, pathologists, specialists in environmental science, physical chemists, design scientists, chemical informatics specialists, and information scientists with the goal of ensuring that Corteva Agriscience(TM) products are safe for their intended uses from the perspective of workers, customers, consumers, and the environment, while also meeting all associated global regulatory requirements. Job Qualifications Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with 5 to 10 years of experience in the application and development of predictive computational approaches. A strong understanding of organic chemistry and agrochemical or pharmaceutical design principles. Extensive experience with and a proven track record of accomplishment in the application and development of QSAR, similarity, structure-based, machine learning, statistical,and ADME approaches to addressing toxicological issues. Comfortable organizing and working with large datasets of information, including data mining. Experience in agrochemical or pharmaceutical discovery research and product development is desired. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a high-performing predictive toxicology team.
