Details vacancy:
You will be working in the research divisions Molecular Spectroscopy 
(MOLSPEC) and Organic Synthesis (ORSY) of the Department of Chemistry. 

MOLSPEC is a leading partner in the local High Performance Computing 
core facility CalcUA and in the Flemish supercomping center (VSC).  
ORSY is a partner in the Centre of Excellence on Green Chemistry.  
MOLSPEC and ORSY are partners in the Valorization Platform SusChemA 
of the University of Antwerp. 

In your research you will perform computational studies to support 
the experimental chemists in rationalizing the reaction mechanisms 
and at the same time making suggestions for further experimental 
development. The research activities fit in the framework of a 
research grant of the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders.

Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate for this position will have a PhD in
computational organic chemistry. The ability to work in a team as 
well as good communication/writing skills and a good mastery of 
the English language is essential. 

Additional info: The University of Antwerp offers you a contract 
of 1 year (which can be extended). Relevant experience will be taken 
into account. The selected candidate is expected to begin in late 2018.
