To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Wed Aug 1 08:49:48 2018 Subject: 18.08.01 12 PhD Positions for Theory Benchmarking in Goettingen, Germany The Faculty of Chemistry at the Georg-August-Universitaet Goettingen welcomes applications for twelve (12) Ph.D. positions in the German Research Foundation (DFG)-funded Research Training Group 2455 BENCh - "Benchmark Experiments in Numerical quantum Chemistry". The application window will be open from 09.07.2018 up to 05.10.2018. The positions are remunerated with 65% E13 TV-L (corresponding to 25.87 hours per week) with a limited contract of 3 years. The earliest starting date will be 01.01.2019. Your profile - you hold (or are in the process of concluding) a Masters degree in Chemistry, Physics or equivalent, - are proficient in English and/or in German, - are willing to travel and collaborate with international partners, The BENCh Research Training Group (BENCh RTG) consists of a high-level research programme aiming to provide landmark experiments for quantum chemical methods benchmarking. The students under the program will benefit from a wide variety of lab techniques and theoretical support, in order to conceive and execute challenging experiments towards the limits of measurement accuracy in each specific field, and/or enabling data gathering in diverse chemical systems/phenomena. The topics will span from gas phase spectrometry, molecular beam techniques, synthesis to X-ray diffraction. For more information consult the official homepage http://bench.uni-goettingen.de.
