The position will focus on research in the area of computational chemical separations such as gas separations and ion extractions, in collaboration with an experimental group at a national lab. The research involves design and simulations of advanced materials and molecular functionalities for selectively binding and transporting target molecules and ions. See Prof. De-en Jiang's research at: http://research.chem.ucr.edu/groups/jiang/Home.html An ideal candidate will have experience in molecular quantum chemistry, simulations of materials and interfaces, and liquid-phase molecular dynamics. Pay is standard at $4099/month for a fresh PhD. Riverside is located in southern California, an hour drive to the east of Los Angeles.
