and membrane proteins is available at PHYLIFE: Centre for Physical Life
Sciences (formerly MEMPHYS: Centre for Biomembrane Physics) at the
University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Odense.

The candidate will be supervised by Associate Professor Himanshu Khandelia,
and will work in a highly collaborative atmosphere together with theorists
and experimental scientists.

Starting date: 1 August 2019.

The project investigates plasma membrane repair mechanisms by peripheral
binding proteins using molecular dynamics simulations. The candidate will
collaborate with experimental groups at SDU, University of Copenhagen and
the Danish Cancer Institute.

The candidate should have good English communication skills, be
comfortable with the Linux programming environment and have documented
programming skills. Candidates with background in Physics, Physical
hemistry and Engineering are desirable. Prior experience with molecular
simulations is also desirable. The successful candidate(s) will have
