We are looking for a full-time Senior Scientist to join our team. This 
position will be a remote based role.


Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will work within a team of industry-seasoned molecular 
designers to deliver computational chemistry support to internal 
and external discovery programs. They will work collaboratively alongside 
colleagues in Integrated Drug Discovery (IDD), in an interdisciplinary 
environment executing computational chemistry strategy to drive problem 
solving within the project teams. In addition, they will contribute to 
the development of the CompChem departments capabilities and may be 
involved in business development activities.


Ideal candidate profile:

-First degree in Chemistry or Biosciences related subject

-PhD or equivalent experience in CompChem, Cheminformatics, Bioinformatics 
 or a related subject

-Strong presentation and communication skills  and a good publication 
 record

-Expertise in drug design and a thorough understanding of the drug 
 development process

-Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with multidisciplinary 
 teams in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.


Expertise & skills (not limited to):

-Experience of supporting medicinal chemistry projects with advance data 
 analysis and modelling

-Knowledge of structure-based and ligand-based drug design techniques for 
 virtual screening, cheminformatics and molecular simulation

-Experience of AI/machine learning, statistical modelling and generative 
 design for drug discovery

-Experience with quantum mechanics (QM) calculations and molecular 
 dynamics (MD) simulations

-Experience with most commercial modelling software and workflow packages.

-Scripting/programming skills (e.g. Python, Perl, Java, C++ etc.) and 
 working with Jupyter notebooks
