It's absurd to claim that Orca is the product of some state funded strategy to suppress private enterprise. The methods and algorithms in both Orca and Gaussian emerged from publicly funded academic research. I think it's an absolutely positive outcome that Orca remains freely available for academic use. It's also funny that you bring up this strange conspiracy theory in the context of code signing, when Orca also suffers from this suppression (at least on Mac). I didn't know this relating the Mac version of Orca, and if the Orca developers are reading CCL, I'd like to give them some advices if they continue going this way: at this webpage I have written instructions how to install a Mac program compiled without code signing: https://chemcraftprog.com/MacVersion.html P.S. I am sorry again, it is very difficult for me to stop talking about such things. I recommend everybody to watch this youtube video "Illusion of Democracy", where the authors explain that the ruling elites in the Western world suppress the private enterprise, because private enterprise can pose a threat to them (elites): https://youtu.be/mhOOziH7QAo And one more link: a post in a blog where the authors explain the reasons of the disappearance of the middle class in USA (why the rich become richer, the poor become poorer): https://kimgriest.medium.com/real-reason-the-american-middle-class-is-disappearing-901cb78ababf Grigoriy Zhurko https://chemcraftprog.com
