Subject: MOPAC for the PC (MSDOS version)

ear CCLers,
A quicky, so to speak; does the MSDOS version of MOPAC 6.0
not include the ESP code? I ran two (hopefully) identical MOPAC jobs
(AM1, ESP) with a sugar molecule- one on the PC and one on an SGI, but
the PC version failed to generate any electrostatic potential charges.
Help? Confirmation?
               Cheers,
                      Dave

My daughter has seen the advertisement on tv where the lady is using a
computer to try different chemical combinations to make a new medicine.
She thinks that she would like to do that as a career. What is the
field and what education is needed for her to obtain this goal? Please
send any replys to her at bohelerk@freenet.scri.fsu.edu and/or post them
here. I will check every now and then to get the replys from here.

thank you
