Subject: Rotational diffusion and quaternions

Dear netters,

I'm looking for a basic treatment of rotational diffusion in terms of
quaternions. In particular, I'm looking for a quaternion-based
discussion of the rotational autocorrelation of a "near-spherical"
molecule (i.e. the principal moments of inertia are all of comparable
magnitude).

Thanks for your pointers. I'll summarize the responses.
