International Conference on Modeling in Chemical and Biological Engineering Sciences October 25 to October 27, 2006 organized by Center of Nanotechnology, the Kasetsart University Research and Development Institute, Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Chemistry, Kasetsart University, and the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. Chief Committee Chairman Jumras Limtrakul Kasetsart University, Thailand Co-Chairman Gregory S. Yablonsky Washington University, USA Co-chairman Thumrongrut Mungcharoen Kasetsart University, Thailand We would like to invite you to participate in the "International Conference on Modeling in Chemical and Biological Engineering Sciences" which will be held from October 25 to October 27, 2006 at the Rama Gardens Hotel, (http://ramagardenshotel.com), Bangkok, Thailand. The objective of the conference is to bring together scientists and engineers in the areas of chemical and biological engineering and sciences, and to discuss on important issues in modeling related to their works. This will also provide an opportunity for arranging interdisciplinary research projects. This conference is organized by Center of Nanotechnology, the Kasetsart University Research and Development Institute, Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Chemistry, Kasetsart university, and the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. Scope of the Conference Suggested topics for the conference papers include the following ones. * Computational chemistry for elementary processes * Computationally assisted design of chemical and biological materials * Mathematical problems of chemical kinetics * Modeling and simulation of multiphase processes * Monte-Carlo modeling of chemical processes * Mathematical education in chemical and biochemical engineering * Modeling of environmental problems in chemical and biochemical engineering * Mathematical problems of risk assessment * Nanoscale simulation and modeling Authors are requested to submit an extended abstract of 1-2 pages (1.5 line spacing on A4 size including figures and tables. The abstract should include the title, author(s) name, affiliation, mailing address, email address, telephone and fax numbers). The deadline for submission of the extended abstract is May 15, 2006.
