Subject: 07.03.13 MGMS Silver Jubilee Meeting, SOAS, Russell Square, London
The MGMS has recently celebrated its Silver Jubilee, which marks a major milestone both for the Society and for the Computational Chemistry community as a whole. The last 25 years have seen enormous growth in the discipline and the field now benefits from a well-established and diverse research base. As well as the strong academic foundation, computational methods are now also widely employed within industry, particularly in the pharmaceutical and materials science areas. Over the last 10 years, the computational community has also been heavily involved in the growth of the spin-off disciplines of bioinformatics and chemoinformatics. This one-day meeting, to celebrate the achievements, will be held on 13 March, 2007 at The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square, London. It draws together speakers from both academia and industry and provides an opportunity to reflect on progress, successful applications and future directions. Registration for this meeting is now open. More details are available from http://www.mgms.org/SilverJubilee/index.htmNOTE THAT E-MAIL ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN MODIFIED!!!
