Subject: 11.02.15 Workshop on Theoretical Chemistry, Mariapfarr, Austria
The Institute of Chemistry at the Karl-Franzens-Universitaet Graz announces the Workshop on Theoretical Chemistry 2011: Explicitly Correlated methods 15 - 18 February 2011, Mariapfarr (Austria) Early-bird registration deadline: December 21, 2010. The topic of the 16th workshop is the theory of explicitly correlated wave functions in molecular quantum chemistry, with focus on coupled cluster F12 theory and quantum Monte Carlo methods. The basis set convergence of post-Hartree-Fock methods is dramatically accelerated by the F12 approach. Lecturers: Dr. David P. Tew (U Bristol): "Fundamentals of explicitly correlated methods" Dr. Andreas Koehn (U Mainz): "Explicitly correlated coupled cluster theory" Prof. Dr. Christof Haettig (U Bochum): "Implementation and assessment of F12 methods" Prof. Dr. Arne Luechow (RWTH Aachen): "Quantum Monte Carlo methods" Invited speakers (minisymposium): Dr. Heinz-Juergen Flad (TU Berlin): "Stochastic optimization and efficient implementation of Jastrow factors in F12 methods" Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Werner (U Stuttgart): "Explicitly correlated CCSD(T)-F12, CASPT2-F12, and MRCI-F12 methods in MOLPRO" Scientific Organization: Prof. Dr. Wim Klopper (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) For further information contact alexander.sax!^!uni-graz.at or visit the webpage at http://www.uni-graz.at/tchwww/sax/mariapfarr/. We hope to see you in Mariapfarr. With kind regards Alexander F. Sax Local organizerNOTE THAT E-MAIL ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN MODIFIED!!!
