Ph.D. position in Computation Chemistry and Materials. The computational laboratory at the Department of Chemical Science at Ariel University in Israel, led by Prof. Dr. Haya Kornweitz, is looking for a Ph.D. student to conduct computational research in surface catalysis, nanoparticles, and fuel cells. The candidate will join a well-established, enthusiastic group of scientists who are focused on a theoretical understanding and practical application of catalytic processes. The research is interdisciplinary and is done in collaboration with top experimentalists. Ariel University offers a collaborative research environment and features state-of-the-art in-site computer facilities, including HPC. A full competitive scholarship for four years and subsidized accommodation are offered to prospective candidates in this program. Required Qualifications: * A successful M.Sc. degree (average score: 80) in Chemistry, Chemical Physics, or Material Sciences. * Former studies and experience in computational chemistry/materials and a first principal understanding. * Experience in solid-state computation (VASP or similar programs) and other relevant software. * A strong passion for gaining new insight into science.
