One postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Computational
Drug Design at the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University (SNU), 
South Korea (https://sites.google.com/view/lcbc). The project focuses on 
investigating the cleavage mechanism of amyloid precursor protein by 
secretases in membrane environment. The position is funded by Samsung 
Science and Technology foundation to study the cleavage mechanism of 
APP with various secretase membrane proteases involved in Alzheimers disease.

The project will involve molecular dynamics simulations of a membrane 
protein system, molecular modeling using AlphaFold, free energy calculations,
 and advanced sampling methods. The work will be performed in a close 
collaboration with experimental collaborator. The initial appointment 
will be for one year with a possibility of extension. 

Requirements
The candidates must hold or are about to receive a PhD degree in 
Computational Chemistry or Biophysics. Candidates with strong background 
in molecular dynamics, advanced sampling methods, and free energy 
calculations are particularly encouraged to apply.
