---Job Description---

This is a full-time, short-term (up to 90 days), paid internship based out of our Doylestown PA office. 
The selected candidate will be a member of the CADD team applying AI and physics-based methods to peptide design. 
The candidate will get a close view and an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge preclinical drug discovery 
research. In particular, the candidate will see the application of advanced biomolecular modeling
and simulation methods to real world medicinal chemistry problems and help develop software for new workflows.

 --> Compensation Range: $40  $60 per hour

 --> Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

 --> Relocation Package: no assistance available



---Requirements---

*Eligible: Graduate students actively pursuing a Masters or PhD degree

*Field of Study: Chemical Physics, Biophysics, Applied Math, or related

*Candidate must be permanently authorized to work in the US (must not require sponsorship of an employment 
visa) at the time of application or in the future.

*Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English.



---Preferred Experience & Skills---

*Graduate level course work in one or more of the following:
    * Protein structure & function
    * Biochemistry
    * Bioinformatics
    * Biophysics
    * Statistical mechanics & thermodynamics
    * Quantum Chemistry
    * Artificial Intelligence
    * Applied mathematics

*Strong skills in scientific scripting, visualization and programming
languages are a must.

*Familiar with biomolecular modeling and simulation software such as:
    * various molecular dynamics packages (Desmond, Gromacs, OpenMM, etc.)
    * Rosetta-based protein design
    * visualization software like VMD and Pymol
    * structural bioinformatics using python packages

*Familiarity with mathematical and computational frameworks of modern Artificial Intelligence-based protein
and molecular design methods.

*Familiarity with organic and synthetic chemistry concepts is a plus.

*Track-record of engagement with scientific community through open-source software development, conference 
presentations and publications are a plus.

*Highly motivated and curious with a collaborative attitude.
