Job Description

A postdoctoral opening is available in the group of
 Chad Hoyer (www.chadhoyer.com) to begin Summer 2025 (July preferred).
 The position is on-site or remote for 1 year, with opportunity for
 second-year renewal pending approval of year-3 continued award funding
 and performance.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a postdoctoral appointment at
 The University of Texas at El Paso. If remote, you will need
 to attend two in-person meetings a year. The postdoc will be responsible
 for conducting research, collaborating with faculty members,
 participating in academic activities, and working with undergraduate
 and graduate members of the group. Compensation: $57,218 for the first
 year.

- Experience with quantum chemistry calculations or heavy-element chemistry
- Strong research skills and ability to critically analyze data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with faculty and peers
- Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence
- PhD in a relevant field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
