Subject: 26.05.11 Postdocs in AI for Protein/RNA Modeling and Drug Discovery, NUS, Singapore
The Yang Zhang Lab at the National University of Singapore (NUS)
is recruiting two postdoctoral fellows in AI and computational
biology.

The positions focus on developing next-generation AI methods for
biomolecular modeling and AI-driven drug discovery, including
protein and RNA folding, structure prediction, sequence design,
and modeling of biomolecular states and interactions.

The research is method-driven and emphasizes original algorithm
and model development, including foundation-model architectures
that integrate sequence, structural, and physical information.
The goal is to advance the state of the art rather than simply
applying existing tools or pipelines to standard benchmarks.

Postdoctoral fellows will work in a computationally intensive
environment with access to large-scale HPC systems, including
hybrid NVIDIA GPU/CPU clusters. Candidates are expected to lead
projects from algorithmic conception through implementation,
large-scale training, rigorous evaluation, manuscript preparation,
and publication.

The lab is jointly based in the School of Computing, the Yong Loo
Lin School of Medicine, and the Cancer Science Institute of
Singapore. It operates at the interface of computer science,
structural biology, and biomedical research, with opportunities
for interdisciplinary collaboration when scientifically relevant.

Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in
computer science, machine learning, biophysics, computational
biology, computational chemistry, or a closely related field.
Strong programming skills and the ability to develop new models
or methods are required. A strong publication record is expected.

Experience in structural bioinformatics, molecular modeling,
AI-driven drug discovery, protein/RNA modeling, or large-scale
deep learning is a plus. The primary criteria are methodological
depth, research creativity, and the ability to independently lead
research projects.

The positions are based in Singapore, an international,
English-speaking research hub. The lab provides an internationally
competitive salary and benefits package, together with strong
logistical and research support.
To apply, please submit a single PDF to Prof. Yang Zhang at:

zhang-*-nus.edu.sg

The PDF should include:

1. Curriculum vitae with full publication list
2. Concise research statement describing prior work and future
   research plans
3. Contact information for three referees

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until
the positions are filled. Start dates are flexible.
