Many chemists are not aware of the wealth of information
about books and journals that they can obtain electronically.
While these resources do not take the place of comprehensive
bibliographic resources such as Chemical Abstracts, Gmelin,
or Beilstein, they often provide as much information as
is required, and they can do so at lower cost. A number of
examples of these resources will be described and
illustrated.
