INFOMINE: A DATABASE APPROACH TO STORING AND RETRIEVING INTERNET RESOURCES Margo Young, Steve Mitchell, Library, University of California Riverside, CA 92517.

INFOMINE is a database of selected Internet resources useful for scholars and students at the university level. It is an interdisciplinary resource divided into 10 categories. Chemistry information is included in the Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computing and Math INFOMINE. Resources are regularly evaluated and those appropriate are selected by practicing librarians. Annotations are written for each resource along with subject headings and keywords. Internet resources can thus be retrieved by title or by subject/keyword terms. The content and structure of this Internet resource will be compared to three other major discipline specific Internet resources for chemistry. In the process of this comparision, basic and specialized chemistry resources will be detailed.
