Welcome to the Chemical Education Resource Shelf
This resource archive is produced under the auspices of the Journal of Chemical Education Online. We are the source for the Journal's printed "Book Buyer's Guide"; the next version will appear in the September, 1997 issue. The Resource Shelf contains hyperlinks to virtually all of the publishers who maintain Web pages, and many links to pages devoted to individual titles; additionally, the online version includes citations and links to reviews. We have added new categories, including ones for safety, demonstrations, and methods of teaching (all in the Teaching Chemistry menu), and categories for Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical Spectroscopy, and Computer Interfacing. Our software listings are more complete, including a list of software suppliers and new menu categories for software in introductory, organic, and physical. These pages have been redesigned, not only to conform to the other Web locations of the Journal of Chemical Education, but also to provide better service to our users. See "About this archive" for more information.
In "Hal's Picks of the Month", you will find recommendations of books and recent articles for teachers of chemistry and related sciences. "Journals for Chemical Educators" contains information about all those journals you should be reading, and hyperlinks to many of the publishers; "References for Chemistry Teachers" has been moved into the Textbook menu with the other books, even though they aren't textbooks (except for some really weird courses).
This file last modified 8/18/97The Chemical Education Resource Shelf has been honored by citation in the InterNic Net Scout Report, January 10, 1997.
