To avoid convergence problems I'm doing step-wise calculations (Guess=Read) with increasing bases sets. UB3LYP/6-31G(d) is fine. UB3LYP/6-31G(d,p) is fine. But as you can see from the output below UB3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) SCF=Tight does not converge. Any suggestions.
