The most reliable source for the MOPAC6 code (and presumable MOPAC7, but 
I have not worked with it) is QCPE.  They have on deposit the original 
source for the VAX, virginal and untinkered with. This is the source 
>from which (AFAIK) several UNIX flavors were derived.  I ported it to 
the ESV and to IRIX with no problems when Mopac6 was first released.
