Dear CCL Subscribers,
I try to allocate memory for the Gaussian program (I put "%mem=3000MB"
in the Gaussian input file). As the result I get:
galloc: could not allocate memory.: Cannot allocate memory
It is strange since with top-command I can see the following:
Mem: 4050152k total, 870400k used, 3510500k free, 98756k buffers
I.e. the machine HAS the required amount of memory. Did you encounter a similar
problem before? Do you know what is the cause of the problem?
Thank you in advance,
Roman
