If they are stupid, pls forgive me. 1, Is the sign of the (hyper)polarizability related to the definition of coordinate direction of a molecule? 2, Multiphoton absorption means a material can absorb multiphotons (i.e. n(hv)) simultaneously. Is the Einstein formula, hv=(1/2)mv^2+W, possibly changed to n(hv)=(1/2)mv^2+W? Could you give me some references? Great thanks for any helps! Lan
