Excel is not free, but ubiquitous.
* Copy the structures from your drawing program.
* Use the row heights to scale as the actual energies (this takes a
bit of getting use to)
* Use the border tools to draw heavy lines for the energy levels and
lighter diagonal lines for the reaction coordinate.
