CCL:G: Gaussian 09 "Open-new-file" Error

Dear Kritikou,
 My chk file setting is "%chk=gaussian_check_file.chk ". It should be ended with ".chp" ???

Dear CCLers,
    ÂI run same Gaussian gif file and same LSF submission script on the same node of the computer clusters, but some (about 30%) of my jobs terminated with "open-new-file" in the bottom line of the log file , and the others finished. Dose anyone know why or could provide any hints?

Make sure that the line pointing at your checkpoint file actually ends in .chp and not .com! I've encountered this error in many cases when I forgot to change the extension!
