A quick test

Point your web browser at http://localhost:8081/tomcat-examples/. Tomcat is also a simple web server as well as a servlet container, so you should see a web page pop up. Click on servlets/ and try out some of them. If it takes a very long time for Tomcat to respond, then read on.
