Science and its Applications (ICCSA 2006) will be held at The Hilton
Glasgow, Scotland, an excellent hotel set in one of Europe's most
vibrant cities only a short journey from some of the most beautiful
countryside in the world from 8-11 May 2006.

ICCSA 2006 is the next event in the series of highly successful
International Conferences on Computational Science and Its Application
(ICCSA), to be organised for the first time this year by the IEE.
Previous conferences have been held in Singapore (2005), Assisi,
Italy (2004), Montreal, Canada (2003), following on the International
Conference on Computational Science (ICCS) events held in Amsterdam,
The Netherlands (2002) and San Francisco, USA (2001).

Computational Science has undoubtedly become a vital part of many
scientific investigations, affecting researchers and practitioners in
areas ranging from aerospace and automotive, to physics and chemistry,
from electronics and geosciences, to bioinformatics and internet security.

Due to the shear size of many challenges in computational science, the
use of supercomputing, parallel processing, and sophisticated algorithms,
is inevitable.

The concentration of this Conference is in the realms of computational
science in parallel and distributed environments, encompassing the
facilitating theoretical foundations and the applications of such
large-scale computations.

The Conference offers the opportunity to discuss problems and solutions
in the area, to identify new issues, and to shape future directions for
research, as well as to help industrial users apply techniques of large
scale parallel and distributed computations.

Conference Themes

There are five major conference themes planned:

    * Computational Methods, Algorithms and Applications
    * High Performance Technical Computing and Networks
    * Advanced and Emerging Applications
    * Geometric Modelling, Graphics and Visualization
    * Information Systems and Information Technologies
