From: chemistry-request at ccl.net To: chemistry-request at ccl.net Date: Mon Dec 29 16:30:19 2025 Subject: 26.04.27 Fourth General Meeting of the COST Action: COnfined Molecular SYstems: from a new generation of materials to the stars (COSY), 27-29 April 2026, Madrid (Spain) Dear Colleagues, We invite researchers and students to participate in the Fourth General Meeting of the COST Action CA21101 (COSY), COnfined Molecular SYstems: from a new generation of materials to the stars, to be held in Madrid (CSIC Central Campus), Spain, from 27-29 April 2026. Participation is free of charge, with an early registration deadline of 1 February 2026 (https://fourth-general-meeting.cost-cosy.eu). COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding agency that supports research and innovation networks, connecting research initiatives across Europe and enabling scientists to develop their ideas through collaboration and knowledge exchange with peers (https://www.cost.eu). The COST Action COSY (http://www.cost.eu/actions/CA21101) is dedicated to advancing the understanding of key experimental and theoretical challenges related to the characterization of confined molecular systems. The Fourth General Meeting will feature scientific sessions covering the activities of the five Working Groups of the COST Action: Working Group 1: Fundamental studies of molecular interactions: new methods, benchmarks on confined systems. Working Group 2: Molecular motion in porous, biomolecular and environmental-confined systems via advanced simulation methods. Working Group 3: Advanced theory and experiments on confined metal/oxide clusters for catalytic and nanotechnology applications. Working Group 4: Time-resolved and reactive dynamics, spectroscopy, and simulations of molecules in He nanodroplets. Working Group 5: Computational, theoretical, and experimental investigation of the formation of molecules and matter in the interstellar medium and in planetary and solar atmospheres. The program will include invited lectures from the following speakers: Kestutis Aidas (Vilnius University, Lithuania) Liudmil Antonov (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Bulgaria) Malgorzata Biczysko (University of Wroclaw, Poland) Avelino Corma Canos (UPV-CSIC, Spain) Attila G.
